【特別公開】 国宝 源氏物語絵巻 横笛・宿木（二）

「国宝「源氏物語絵巻」は、王朝時代の人々の雅やかな暮らしぶりを余すところなく伝えてくれる現存最古の物語絵巻です。毎年11月下旬には、この絵巻から数場面を選んで特別公開を行います。もとは巻物として伝わり、昭和7年（1932）に保存のために額装に改装され、近年、額装による本紙への負荷を軽減するために再び巻子装に戻し、一場面ごとに絵と詞書を一巻の巻物に仕立て、絵巻本来の姿で鑑賞いただくことが可能となりました。今年は、15巻の中から、第37帖「横笛」と、第49帖「宿木（二）」を特別公開します。
