近代文人画の巨匠・富岡鉄斎(1836～1924)は、和漢の史伝や故事、逸話を題材に数多くの人物画を遺しています。多彩に描かれた画題のうち、本展では日本に主題をもつ作品に焦点をあてます。「画道のはじめは人物なり」と説いた、鉄斎の魅力溢れる人物画の世界をお楽しみ下さい。
