岡本太郎の公私にわたるパートナー・岡本敏子の手によりこの岡本太郎記念館が誕生したのは1998年5月。太郎没後からわずか2年余りのことでした。それから25年。当館は住宅規模の小さなミュージアムですが、太郎の息吹をいまに伝える高濃度の体感空間として、多くの皆さまにご支持いただいています。これまでに84本の企画展を実施し、延べ90万人の来館者をお迎えしました。
