フィンランドを代表するデザインハウス、マリメッコ。1951年の創業以来、世に送りだされたプリント・デザインは3500種類以上にのぼります。鮮やかな色彩と大胆な模様によって、私たちの生活を豊かに彩るデザインは、世代や国境を超えて広く支持されてきました。本展では、様々な年代の貴重なドレスやファブリック、制作過程のイメージなど、多彩な資料を通してマリメッコの創造の美学を明らかにします。重要文化財の旧朝香宮邸。この歴史的な建築空間に広がる、マリメッコのプリントの世界を心ゆくまでお愉しみください。
