本展は、指輪を中心とする宝飾品約870点からなる「橋本コレクション」が国立西洋美術館に寄贈されたことを記念する企画で、2012年に本コレクションを収蔵して以来、初のお披露目の場となります。橋本貫志氏（1924-）が収集した760点あまりの指輪は、年代や素材に偏りがなく、極めて広範な内容を持っています。本展では約300点の指輪を一挙に公開し、橋本コレクションの個性豊かな顔ぶれをお楽しみいただきます。
