新たな日本画の地平を切り拓く三瀬の全貌と所蔵資料のコラボレーション「第２回トリエンナーレ豊橋 星野眞吾賞」大賞受賞作家である三瀬夏之介は、日本画の枠にとらわれない多様な表現で目覚ましい活動を展開してきました。東北芸術工科大学での「東北画は可能か？」など、学生とのプロジェクトやコレクティブ活動でも知られています。現代日本画家として高く評価されてきた三瀬の代表作の展観に加え、当館の所蔵絵画や歴史・民俗資料をからめたセクションも見所のひとつです。
