ABOUT
本展は、当館が所蔵する明治・大正時代の絵画を、近代日本美術史上の重要なトピックをもとに、「歴史画」「海を渡った洋画家」「南画」「裸体画」などの８つのテーマで紹介したものである。さらに、1階展示室では、同時開催の企画展「よむ あむ うつす 勝城蒼鳳―人間国宝に訊く竹の道」に合わせて、明治・大正時代に活躍した初代飯塚鳳齋・飯塚琅玕齋の竹工芸も紹介した。また、会期中に開催された「親と子のための美術鑑賞教室」では、「屏風」をテーマに作品鑑賞と屏風作りワークショップを行った。
