Museum official page: www.nezu-muse.or.jp:80/jp/exhibition ↗「これは誰の袖なのか」。そんな風変わりな名で呼ばれる絵があります。衣桁や屏風にたくさんの衣裳を掛け並べた様子を描く「誰が袖図」です。「誰が袖図」には、秘められた室内空間を覗き見て、そこに掛けられた美しい衣裳を愛で、薫きしめられた香りをイメージし、ひいてはそれを着る人の面影をしのぶ、そんな多層的な趣向が備わっています。本展は、華やかで、かつ少し謎めいた、当館が所蔵する3点の「誰が袖図屏風」を中心に、やはり描かれた衣裳の美しさを見所のひとつとする美人画などもあわせ、近世の風俗画をお楽しみいただく展覧会です。
