兵庫県西宮市に所在する辰馬考古資料館は、昭和51年（1976）、辰馬悦蔵（1892～1980）によって設立されました。京都帝国大学で考古学を修めた悦蔵は、家業である酒造業を継いだ後も考古学への情熱が冷めることなく、私財を投じて考古資料の蒐集・保全に尽力しました。これらはいずれも深い考古学の見識に基づくもので、特に銅鐸については日本屈指のコレクションとなっています。また資料館には、悦蔵の祖父・悦叟（1835～1920）と親交のあった富岡鉄斎（1836～1924）の優品も多く伝えられています。本展では、実業に携わりながらも、美術や考古学に飽くなき探求心をささげた辰馬悦叟・悦蔵のまなざしを辿ります。
