2027年春、京都国立博物館は開館130周年を迎えます。これを記念して、日本最大の絵師集団「狩野派」の全容に迫る、半世紀ぶりの大回顧展を開催します。狩野派は、血脈による継承と強固な組織力で、足利将軍家や織田信長、豊臣秀吉、徳川将軍家など、歴代の権力者の庇護を受け、画壇を牽引し続けた唯一無二の絵画流派です。本展では、特別展2本分の内容を「室町～桃山編」と「江戸～明治編」の2部で構成。1週間の休止日を挟み、全作品総展示替を行って、狩野派の壮大な歴史と多彩な絵師たちが織りなす400年の軌跡を余すところなくご紹介します。美術ファンの皆さまはもちろん、歴史や文化に心躍らせるすべての人へ。京都国立博物館がお届けする、“レジェンド絵師たち”による一期一会の特別展を、あなたの目でご覧ください。
