ABOUT
京都工芸繊維大学は前身校のひとつである京都高等工芸学校の時代から、デザイン・意匠研究の一環として、現代にいたるまでの世界のポスターを蒐集してきました。本展ではその中から、日本のポスター作品約130点を取り上げます。岡田三郎助、伊東深水、藤田嗣治、小磯良平など近現代日本画壇の重鎮たちが原画を描いたものから、第二次世界大戦期の戦時広報ポスター、戦後に亀倉雄策らがデザインした東京オリンピックのポスターなど、明治期の美人画から大正モダン、戦争の時代、そして戦後の高度経済成長期にいたる各時代を彩ったポスター作品を通して、近代日本の歴史と世相の移り変わりを概観します。
