美術館の建物は珍しい六角レンガの外壁を特徴としており、その前には「日本の道100選」や「手づくり郷土賞」に選ばれた美しい「美術館通り」が広がっています。入船山公園の豊かな自然に囲まれた、明治期の洋風建築を模した美しい佇まいの中で、近現代美術や郷土ゆかりの作品を鑑賞できます。
