生命力に満ち溢れた横尾忠則の作品には、常に「死」の影が漂います。骸骨や首吊りのロープのような暗示的な記号から、空襲で赤く染まった空、亡くなった同級生の写真など自身の記憶に由来するモチーフまで、横尾作品に散りばめられた様々な死の表現は、鮮やかに力強く、観る者を挑発します。2020年、コロナ禍により開幕直前で中止となった「横尾忠則の髑髏まつり」を再構成し、新たな祝祭をお届けします。
