このたび岐阜県美術館では、19世紀後半から20世紀初頭にかけてフランスと日本を舞台に活躍した岐阜出身の洋画家山本芳翠を紹介する展覧会「ＰＡＲＡＬＬＥＬ ＭＯＤＥ：山本芳翠」を開催します。本展覧会は、国立博物館収蔵品貸与促進事業の活用とともに、山本芳翠作品の日本最多収蔵館でもある皇居三の丸尚蔵館の地方展開の一つとして、同館全面協力のもと、令和６年度秋に岐阜県で開催する国民文化祭(「清流の国ぎふ」文化祭２０２４)事業として、岐阜県美術館と文化庁の主催により開催します。本展覧会は、約30年ぶりの大回顧展として、国内外各所蔵者の協力により、初期から晩年までの代表作が一堂に会します。
