ABOUT
女性で初めて文化勲章を受章した上村松園(1875～1949)が生まれて150年が経ちました。当館では、開館当初から松園の下絵や素描を多数収蔵しておりましたが、さらに上村家に残された資料の調査を進めるなかで、新たに発見された松園の下絵を、この記念の年に初公開します。本画と下絵を同時にご覧いただくことで、真・善・美の極致をめざした松園の制作の苦心をうかがい知ることができます。あわせて、上村家のご協力のもと、初展示となる松園が着用した着物、愛蔵の品や写真も紹介します。
