いまや世界に広がる日本の伝統的芸術文化、盆栽。現代へと至る歴史のなかで、盆栽はどのような姿や呼び名で親しまれ、伝統は育まれてきたのでしょうか。本展では、およそ1300年に及ぶ盆栽の長い歴史を振り返り、日本から世界へと広がった盆栽のたどった道を、豊富なビジュアル資料を用いた年代記<クロニクル〉形式のパネル展示で紹介します。
