19世紀末、多くの画家たちが積極的に版画に着手し、独創的な表現を探究したことで、フランスにおける版画芸術はいっそうの華やぎを見せました。 本展は、当館に所蔵される世紀転換期の版画のなかから、フランスで名の知られた画家が手がけ、独特な幻想性をおびたリトグラフ（ジンコグラフ[亜鉛版リトグラフ]を含む）とエッチングを中心に紹介するもので、これまで公開が稀であった作品を多く展示します。また当館の常設展示室では、こうした画家たちの絵画作品もご覧いただけます。この機会に、画家たちの意外な一面を発見する愉しみや、異なる技法による作品の表現様式を比べる面白さを味わっていただければ幸いです。
