映画監督としても国際的に活躍するアーティスト、アピチャッポン・ウィーラセタクン（1970年タイ・バンコク生まれ）と、近年活躍が目覚ましい久門剛史（1981年京都生まれ）のコラボレーションにより制作された、新作映像インスタレーション《シンクロニシティ》を紹介します。本作は、アピチャッポンが南米のコロンビアを舞台に製作している新作映画《メモリア》（2019年公開予定）に関連した作品で、深層心理学や脳神経学を参照しながら、個人の記憶と、社会や国家などの集合的な記憶の対比を題材としています。久門がタイのチェンマイにあるアピチャッポンのスタジオに滞在し、脚本の構想段階からアイデアを共有するなどして共同制作をしてきました。
