本展では、さまざまな女性たちの私的な日常を描いた、2人の女性アーティストの作品を紹介します。横溝静の映像作品《永遠に、そしてふたたび》（2003年）は、引退したイギリス人のピアニスト4人が、自宅でショパンの「ワルツ第10番」を演奏する様子を映し、彼女たちが生きてきた時間を想起させます。一方、松川朋奈の絵画作品は、作家自身と同世代の六本木で働く女性たちへのインタビューをもとに、リアルな日常を断片的に描写することで、そこに潜む彼女たちの不安や悲しみなどの内面を写し出します。イギリスと日本、文化も世代も全く異なる女性たちに寄り添うアーティストの親密な眼差しを通して、現代社会で生きることを見つめ直す機会となるでしょう。
