日本では27年ぶり、また国内最大規模の個展となる本展では、約100点に及ぶ作品群を、3章構成で紹介し、その活動の全貌に迫ります。本展の副題「地獄から帰ってきたところ 言っとくけど、素晴らしかったわ」はハンカチに刺繍で言葉を綴った晩年の作品からの引用です。この言葉は、ブルジョワの感情のゆらぎや両義性を暗示しつつ、ブラックユーモアのセンスをも感じさせます。
