本展では、2020年で創業60周年を迎えた株式会社サンリオの歴史を辿ると同時に、のちに世界でも注目されることとなる「カワイイ」文化がどのように生まれ、発展していったのか、またその裏にある「サンリオの想い」を、貴重なデザインや商品とともに、深く解説していきます。カワイイ文化を、サンリオ創業以前の歴史から紐解き、日本が生んだカワイイ文化の成り立ちや、発展についてサンリオ独自の目線で掘り下げていきます。発信側だからこそ明らかにできる、企画意図や苦労話など、本展でしか見ることが出来ないコンテンツを多数展示します。
