市制70周年記念展覧会の最後を飾るのは、浮世絵、西洋美術などとともに美術館の顔の一つである、茶道具の名品による展覧会です。久保家の歴代代表者が収集し、和泉市に寄贈された茶道具は、国宝、重要文化財を含む日本、中国の工芸品の精華ともいえる内容となっています。利休所縁の作品も出陳し、日本の美意識に大きな影響をもたらした利休の茶の湯の世界にも注目します。また、耐震工事(1期)を完了した当館の聴泉亭、惣庵の茶室にちなみ、元となっている表千家の茶室などについて写真や資料で紹介し、茶道具とともに茶の湯の世界をご紹介いたします。
