古代ガラス技法の一つであるモザイクガラスから始まった作家生活ですが40年の間に土、金属、木など他の素材、技法へといつの間にか枝葉が広がっていきました。しかし今振り返ればその幹の中心はやはり古代ガラスであったのか、と思います。それは古代ガラスという訛りの強い言語で立体や平面の物語を作ってきた、という事なのかもしれません。矢野太昭
