原美術館ARC開館3年目の年間テーマ展の第1期。自身の理想を求め、当時の美術的・社会的動向に背を向けた国内外の作家の表現を展観。「原美術館コレクション」（現代美術）と「原六郎コレクション」（東洋古美術）を展示した。
