板橋区立美術館のコレクションより、昭和初期から中期にかけての日本近代洋画約130点を紹介。関東大震災や戦争を経験した作家たちがどのように現実を抱え、作品を描いたのかを探る。
The exhibition runs from September 15, 2018, to December 24, 2018.
Approximately 130 modern Japanese Western-style paintings from the early to mid-Showa period, selected from the Itabashi Art Museum collection, will be introduced.
Works by artists such as Saburo Aso, Masaaki Terada, Shunsuke Matsumoto, Saori Akutagawa (Madokoro), Yuki Katsura, Ichiro Fukuzawa, Masao Tsuruoka, Chozaburo Inoue, Teruko Inoue, and Kakuzo Namba will be on display.
