福島県出身・ゆかりの作家を紹介する「福島アートアニュアル」の第5回目となる本展では、庄司朝美（1988年・いわき市生まれ）と、髙木優希（1994年・福島市生まれ）を紹介します。庄司は絵の具を置いてはふき取るという行為を重ね、身体の動きや絵の具の流れにより偶然生まれた形をもとにして描いていきます。髙木はある特定の個人の私室の写真からマケットを作り、光を設定して撮影したマケットの写真をもとに絵画を制作しています。現実とも虚構ともつかない絵画の世界を創り上げるふたりの表現から、「描くこと」や「見ること」に改めて目を向けていきます。
