Commemorating the Nezu Museum’s 85th Anniversary, this special exhibition explores the Kōrin School, a design-oriented style within the Rimpa school of Japanese painting. It highlights the lineage of painters from Tawaraya Sōtatsu to Ogata Kōrin and Sakai Hōitsu, and focuses on Kōrin's direct and indirect followers like Watanabe Shikō, Kenzan, Fukae Roshū, and Tatebayashi Kagei. The exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of this little-known school.
