日本中の子どもたちを笑顔にするかがくい絵本の魅力に迫る累計発行部数1000万部を超える絵本「だるまさん」シリーズの作者、かがくいひろし（1955－2009）は、50歳でデビューし、病で急逝するまでのわずか４年間に16冊もの絵本を生み出しました。没後初の大回顧展となる本展では、全16作の絵本原画をはじめ、アイデアノートや特別支援学校教員時代の映像記録、未完ラフなどの貴重な資料から足跡をたどり、日本中の子どもたちを笑顔にするかがくい絵本の魅力に迫ります。
