当館を創設した吉田璋也（1898～1972）は「暮らしのすべてが民藝でありたい」と考え、健やかで美しい器物に日々触れる暮らしを大切に考えていました。その吉田家の暮らしを、残された写真を軸として収蔵品と併せてご紹介いたします。雑誌『白樺』に大きな影響を受けた学生時代、中国での暮らし、晩年を過ごした鳥取の自邸までを新発見の資料を交えて綴ります。
