「ぎふの日本画」岐阜県美術館第６回目となる今回は、初春から春にかけて咲く花々や、その時期にみられる鳥たちを描いた作品を取り上げます。画家は、日々の暮らしの中で季節のうつろいを肌で感じ、その中で懸命に生きる動物・植物たちの様子を見守り、ありのままに描いてきました。加藤栄三《ばら》、前田青邨《水辺春暖》など、厳しい寒さの続く冬に、春の兆しを感じさせる花鳥画をご紹介します。心躍る春の訪れを、瑞々しい作品を通じてお楽しみください。
