ABOUT
小合友之助（1898－1966年）は蠟染の染色作家として伝統的な染色の革新に取り組み、文展や日展で数々の秀作を発表、日展評議員を務めました。型染の稲垣稔次郎とともに京都市立美術大学の染色専攻の初代教授として後進の育成にも努めました。京都の近現代の染色文化の礎を築いた功労者といえます。
