今回の展覧会では、植田の写真に頻繁に登場する砂浜や砂丘でのイメージを中心に、砂丘以外での空や海の表現に着目し、初期から晩年までさまざまな作品を紹介します。時代や表現意図も異なる作品を通して、植田の写真における天然のスタジオ、巨大なホリゾントの役割をあらためて感じていただけることでしょう。
