今回の展覧会は、「山陰の風土」をテーマに植田の初期から1970年代までの作品を中心に紹介します。一見、スタイリッシュな写真とは真逆に思える写真ばかりですが、地元にこだわり続け、さまざまな手法でとらえた「山陰」を紹介しながら、その「まなざし」をあらためて浮き彫りにします。
