ファイアンスは、西アジア・エジプトの古代遺跡から出土する、青緑色の工芸素材です。新石器時代に出現し、特にエジプトで大きく発達しました。館蔵資料から、古代のハイテクセラミックス、ファイアンスの起源と展開を紹介します。
