企画展 生誕200年 沖冠岳と江戸絵画展

江戸時代後期の今治に生まれ、京で画道を修行し、江戸で活躍した画家、沖冠岳（1817‐1876）。人物も花鳥も山水も何でも描き、水墨も着色も得意とした彼は、浅草寺における最大の絵馬の作者として下町の庶民に親しまれました。そんな冠岳が生誕200周年を迎えた平成29年の年度末に開催するこの展覧会では、冠岳の様々な作品や史料とともに、師友や、他の伊予の画家たちの作品も紹介します。当時の江戸画壇における伊予の人々の活躍を再認識していただく機会となればと幸いです。
