美術館公式ページ: www.louvre.fr:80/expositions ↗Le musée des Monuments français, fondé par Alexandre Lenoir en 1795, fut le deuxième musée national après le musée du Louvre en 1793. Il a joué un rôle fondamental dans l’histoire de la redécouverte et de l’appréciation du patrimoine français. Fermé en 1816, les oeuvres qu’il abritait sont actuellement conservées dans divers lieux en France (notamment au musée du Louvre) ainsi qu’à l’étranger.

It was the second national museum after the Louvre and played a fundamental role in rediscovering and appreciating French heritage.
They are currently preserved in various locations in France (including the Louvre Museum) and abroad.
