About this exhibition
民藝運動を推進した柳宗悦は、日本各地を巡り地方性豊かで実用性に富むやきものに美を見出しました。柳を師と仰いだ吉田璋也は、将来のものづくりのために工人（職人）の手本となるやきものを中心に収集し、美術館の陳列替えを工人が本物から学ぶ場としました。本展では、この伝統を受け継いだ鳥取の窯元の皆さんにご協力いただき、厳選した日本のやきものの魅力をご紹介いたします。
