ABOUT
「月日は百代の過客にして、行きかふ年も又旅人也」で始まる、俳聖・松尾芭蕉の著した紀行文学『奥の細道』をテーマに、その道程を辿って、立石寺、松島、象潟をはじめ、芭蕉が俳句を詠んだ場所に赴き、芭蕉の感性に身を委ねて、それぞれの俳句の世界を緻密な蠟染の技法で染色作品に昇華させた山出勝治の「奥の細道」シリーズを一堂に展観します。染色作家・山出勝治は、制作した作品を日展、創工会などで発表する傍ら、京都市立銅駝美術工芸高校（現京都市立美術工芸高校）の教諭、校長を強め、染色美術工芸の教育にも尽力してきました。今回の展覧会では、『奥の細道』の俳句という言葉の芸術が、染色ならではの美しさに展開され、心深くしみ入る芭蕉句の視覚化された魅力が会場を満たします。
