６名の作品はそれぞれに異なり、複雑で、様々な姿を見せているが、染料はにじみひろがり、蠟はそれをくい止め、布は支持体としてそれらを受け止めるといった蝋染めの理を備えたものとなっている。また、染料や蠟、布などの素材、防染と染色を繰り返す蝋染め技法、そして鋭く時に柔軟な感性、これらの関係を彼らが真摯に見つめた結果でもある。彼らの活動が蝋染めの地平を大きくひろげてゆくことを願っている。
