長尾紀壽展 －祭祀、沖縄の自然・文化・営み－

初期は産業的な染色製品の制作に携わりながら、日本の民族的な精神性が漲る祭祀に魅せられ、全国に取材して制作した型染作品を新匠工芸展を中心に出品し続けました。1995年に沖縄県立芸術大学教授として沖縄に赴任した後は、その風土や文化の中で息づく祭祀や豊潤な自然、また日常の中で営んだ農作業と作品制作の日常やそれを取り巻く沖縄の現状など、その土地に根ざした視点での創作を、2023年に京都府向日市に戻るまで約30年にわたる沖縄滞在の中で展開しました。同展では、1960年代から現在まで約60年にわたる長尾紀壽の型絵染による創作世界を展観します。
