今回は2017年の第21回に続いて、隔年の開催を意味する「ビエンナーレ」を展覧会名に掲げるとともに、京都市美術館で開いていた当初に近い大きな作品も受け入れることにしました。91年の第1回にも作品を寄せたベテランから、当時はまだ生まれていなかった新鋭まで、作家29名の作品を2期に分けて展覧します。各作家が染め上げた作品世界をお楽しみいただくとともに、現代の染色表現の豊かな広がりを感じていただければ幸いです。
