染色作家・田島征彦の、京都では初めてとなる染色作品の全貌を辿る個展を開催します。パートⅠでは、1963年に結成した「染色集団∞（無限大）に出品された民話に題材をとった黒一色で人間の躍動する姿形をとらえた「ぽんぽんぴぃぴぃこまさらさら」から、大樹の精霊、平家物語、沖縄のキジムナー、羅漢などをテーマに制作した作品を展示します。田島作品の根底には、一貫して自然への畏敬、権威への抵抗の精神と民衆の逞しい生命力がみなぎっています。
