鑑賞という行為には、作品自体に留まらず、使う人の愉しみや、作品の置かれる場所を想像することも含まれるだろう。今回は、そんな作品の向こう側のイメージを膨らませてくれる作家に出品を依頼した。端正な仕事が魅力の坂本さんによるインスタレーション作品。囲まれてみたいと思わせるポップでエネルギー溢れる前場さんの布。千本木さんの計算された柔らかな立体。インドの地でブロックプリントを手掛ける繊細な揺らぎを持つ向井さんの布。京友禅の確かな技術による眞鍋さんの着物。私自身、そんな斯界の新鋭による、多彩な作品が一堂に介する本展をとても楽しみにしている。
