About this exhibition
「写真」と「染（染色）」は現代において、ともに美術的な表現行為の１ジャンルと認識されている。今展は、歴史を刻み始めた「写真と染のまじわるところ」を主題に、染に軸足を置きつつ、作家５名が構想と制作の力を駆使して到達した作品を紹介する。今展は毎年京都で開かれる国際写真祭KYOTOGRAPHIEのサテライトイベントＫＧ＋のオフィシャル展覧会として計画したが、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大に伴いＫＧ＋の会期から外れた時期の開催となったのは残念だが、今展が染あるいは写真に関心を抱く多くの人たちの眼に触れてなにかを触発する契機になればと願っている。
