Kichizaemon X: Saito Takashi × Raku Kichizaemon XV - Jikinyū

2020Sep5(Sat)2021Mar21(Sun)

About this exhibition

Works presented by artist Saito Takashi, who lives in a mountain village in the Tohoku region and paints in all black imagery of strange characters and decaying things. Raku Jikinyū has been much struck by Saito's approach to life and work, which he feels resonates very much with his own. This exhibition consists of recently made tea bowls by Jikinyū juxtaposed with works by Saito Takashi. It is an attempt to explore the deep spirituality to both artists.
