This exhibition publicly displays "Omoro Soshi," "Konko Kenshu," and "Tanake Monjo," significant cultural assets of the Ryukyu Kingdom, commemorating 65 years since their special important cultural property designation and 50 years since national designation.

The museum complex includes art, history, and natural history museums focusing specifically on Okinawan topics. The building itself is designed with the imagery of Okinawa's gusuku (castles) and constructed largely of local Okinawan limestone. Outside, the gardens feature reproductions of traditional-style Okinawan buildings.
