本展は9月1日、50年目の開館記念日に幕を開けます。「愛媛野外美術展」や「郷土作家展」などに出品した作家による多種多様な作品や、初期コレクションを取り上げることにより、改めて当時の活発な愛媛の美術を全国へと発信するとともに、過去から現在へと引き継いできた遺産を継承し、未来へと発展させる契機となれば幸いです。
