愛媛県砥部町出身の石本藤雄は、フィンランドの森や湿地、そして湖が生み出す豊かな自然、また生まれ育った愛媛県砥部町で親しんだ障子山や田畑や蓮池など数々の風景がデザインの源となり、意欲的に新しい表現を生み出してきました。本展はフィンランドを代表するデザインハウス「マリメッコ」のデザイナーとして、また同じく同国を代表する老舗陶器メーカー「アラビア」のアート部門に所属する陶芸家としての石本の活躍を、愛媛県美術館と砥部町文化会館の2会場でご紹介いたします。
