大都会の街中やまた自然豊かな風景の中―いろいろな場所で、私たちの身の回りにはごく自然に猫が暮らしています。古代から人と共に生きてきた猫は、その仕草や表情など様々な側面で私たち人間を魅了してきました。このたびは、動物写真家・岩合光昭が愛媛を訪れて撮影した、青島（大洲市）や松山市内の松山城、石手寺、旧堀江港付近などの未発表作品を多く含む約50点をお披露目する他、瀬戸内地方や全国各地を旅して出会った猫たちの写真作品計100点をご紹介します。岩合ならではの生き生きとした猫たちの写真の数々により、本展が猫の魅力を再発見していただく機会となりましたら幸いです。
