ABOUT
このたび天竜市秋野不矩美術館においては、平成１４年に日本とインドが国交樹立５０周年を迎えたことを記念し、「インドへの旅」ーマドゥバニ村の壁画よりーを公開致します。本展覧会は、ミティラー地方のマドゥバニ村において、３千年に渡り母から娘へと受け継がれ、民家の壁に描かれてきたミティラー画を、インドの民族画を所有する、ミティラー美術館よりお借りしてご紹介致します。また実際に秋野画伯が美しくも素朴な、マドゥバニ村落の壁画に感銘を受けて描いた「土の家シリーズ」や、インドの土俗的な風景を描いた作品なども併せてご覧いただくことにより、秋野画伯が実際に目にしたインドの風景そのものをご鑑賞頂けることと思います。
